Sharing God’s Goodness Giving Circle Membership

We encourage you to consider joining us as we give together to in support of small organizations serving the local African American Community.

Our giving circle is open to everyone! It is a unique opportunity to join with others who are closely connected to the work in our community. Our members contribute either monthly or annually, and vote annually. Each Spring our members are able to nominate up to two ministries for consideration. Our leadership committee reviews these recommendations, conducts due diligence, and invites selected ministries to apply for a grant. Grant seekers submit formal proposals and a member of the leadership committee will then conduct a site visit. At that time, the leadership makes final determinations who will move forward to be on the slate of grantees for the year. Selected grantees will submit video proposals which are shared with the larger membership in the summer. At this time, members vote to determine how pooled grant funds will be distributed among the grantees. In early Fall, we will host our celebration and deliver our grant checks!

Membership Guidelines

• Membership: Individual, Church, or Business
• Membership dues (SGG membership year runs 7/1 to 6/30):
  • Individual membership: $600 may be completed in installments or a one-time contribution.
  • Church/Business membership: $1200. May be completed in installment or a one-time contribution.
• A one-year commitment is encouraged (renewable annually).
